About OutletRoute

OutletRoute is the independent directory of premium outlet malls in the United States. We track 520+ centers across all 50 states, maintain anchor-store rosters refreshed weekly, and help travelers plan multi-stop outlet trips that maximize their savings.

Why we exist

The outlet shopping experience has fragmented over the past decade. Operators each maintain their own directories with their own quirks, anchor brands shuffle between centers without warning, and the most-trafficked online outlet "guides" are little more than ad-stuffed link farms. OutletRoute was built by a small team of weekend road-trippers and former retail analysts who wanted one trustworthy place to plan an outlet trip.

How we maintain the data

Our directory is rebuilt on a regular cadence using a combination of public outlet operator directories (Simon Premium Outlets, Tanger Outlets, Premium Outlets International, and others), the OpenStreetMap U.S. mall dataset, the Wikipedia list of outlet malls in the United States as a cross-reference, and reader-submitted updates from our 50,000+ subscriber community. Every anchor-store list is verified before it's published.

How we make money

OutletRoute is supported by display advertising. We do not charge outlet operators to be listed, do not accept paid rank boosts, and do not earn affiliate revenue from individual store links. If something on the site looks wrong or out of date, please tell us — we update the directory weekly.
